Wow...where did the years go?  25 years of living in this beautiful place...seems like just yesterday when we walked in the door to see if this was a place we would enjoy owning...well, I guess it's working out!

We just celebrated the Christmas season...and now we will wind down our winter until mid-April when we start the resort work to get ready for another summer at Cedar Rapids Lodge.

We welcomed a new granddaughter on December 27th.  Olivia Basil joins her 2 brothers and 1 sister in Shakopee...and she has a special middle name, from her great grandpa who she never got to meet.  Dad would have loved all these little ones...and he would chuckle that his name goes on in a teeny little baby girl!  How special!

We await word this month for all of our guests who have reserved cabins for the 2012 season.  If you don't have a reservation, check out our availability on our home page...we have some great cabins open this summer.

If you've never spent a vacation at our resort...don't even think about coming unless you plan to come back again...we do our best to make sure our guests have the best vacation ever...we pamper you and provide everything we can to ensure that you have an awesome week.  Try us!!

We await the normal 50+ inches of snow that we have not seen yet...it's been one of the warmest winters on record.
